Qatar Players Association Vice President, Mr. Abdulrhman Al-Kuwari, announced that the Ministry of Culture and Sports has agreed to finance three of the suspended players’ settlements without any further deductions. Such approval was a result of continuous meetings held between the Qatar Players Association President and Mr. Abdulrhman Al-Dosari, Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Sports.
Mr. Al-Kuwari added that the following players: Khalifa Al-Ammari, Abdulla Taleb and Taher Zakaria has signed the settlements and the letters were sent to the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Qatar Football Association, in which QPA requested officially to reverse the decision issued against the said players.
Mr. Al-Kuwari added that meetings were held with the Ministry of Culture and Sports to ensure that the suspended players receive their full settlement without any deductions due to the delayed execution of the settlement. Further, Mr. Al-Kuwari confirmed that QPA’s President, Mr. Salman A. Al-Ansari, has begun negotiations with Qatar Football Association to ensure the participation of the said player in the next round.
With respect to the remaining players, Mr. Al-Kuwari indicated that the negotiations are still ongoing and it is being led by QPA’s President with the relevant parties to resolve the issue. At the end, Mr. Al-Kuwari expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Culture and Sports and the President of Qatar Football Association for their understanding of QPA’s position.
