{"id":1203,"date":"2015-10-15T19:03:01","date_gmt":"2015-10-15T19:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.qatarplayersassociation.com\/?p=1203"},"modified":"2016-09-09T19:07:04","modified_gmt":"2016-09-09T19:07:04","slug":"football-family-joins-to-form-players-association","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qpa.qa\/en\/football-family-joins-to-form-players-association\/","title":{"rendered":"Football Family Joins to Form Players\u2019 Association"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former and current players on Wednesday joined Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Qatar Stars League (QSL) office bearers to announce the formation of a Players Association, the first of its kind in Qatar.<\/p>\n<p>Players like Mohammed Mubarak Al Mohannadi, Jassim Al-Tamimi, Abdullah Mubarak, Abdullah Jassim, Yasser Nazmi, Abdulaziz Hassan, Hussain Yasser, Mirghani Zein Abdullah and Rodrigo Tabata joined QFA and QSL officials to make the announcement at Sheraton Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Hani Ballan, CEO of QSL, Mansour Al-Ansari, Secretary General of QFA, were also present<\/p>\n<p>It was announced that Salman Ansari will be the president of the Players Association while first four members include Bilal Mohammed, Wisam Rizq, Ibrahim Al-Ghanim and Abdul Aziz Al Sulaiti.<\/p>\n<p>Ansari thanked the football family for their presence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had been thinking about this project for sometime,\u201d Ansari said. \u201cI thank the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their support,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Players Association will function independently,\u201d he said, adding the group will be free of any kind of meddling from any party.<\/p>\n<p>Ansari also explained legal status of the Players Association, saying the new group has been formed to strengthen the situation of players in Qatar.<\/p>\n<p>He said the Players Association will help streamline matters between players and their employers and provide solutions to resolve matters.<\/p>\n<p>Ansari said the players will be assisted in matters of collective rights rather than individual rights.<\/p>\n<p>He said concerned players will also be extended help on ways to improve their contracts with employers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former and current players on Wednesday joined Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Qatar Stars League (QSL) office bearers to announce the formation of a Players Association, the first of its kind in Qatar.
